Living Well with Chronic Pain

6 September @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm BST

Living with chronic pain can be worrying, frustrating and stressful. This course can help you to learn tools and techniques to manage stress, low mood and anxiety and maximise your physical health. We recommend attending all sessions to gain the maximum benefit from this treatment.

This free course is jointly delivered by Wiltshire IAPT (all 4 sessions) and Wiltshire Health and Care Physiotherapy (2 out of 4 sessions).

The course covers: understanding chronic pain, guidance on how to manage activity levels, learning tools and techniques for improving psychological wellbeing based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, setting personal goals based on what is important to you, and the opportunity to practice gentle movement in a safe and supportive environment led by a physiotherapist.

This is a taught course designed to introduce practical strategies to manage your mood, run in a group format, so although there will be some group discussion about the techniques and examples it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part. We recommend attending all 4 sessions to fully benefit, please discuss with the course facilitators if you have any concerns or see the course FAQ’s on our website.
