Living Well with Chronic Pain

Living with chronic pain can be worrying, frustrating and stressful. This course explores how to manage and live well with chronic pain. The course focuses on understanding chronic pain, what influences it and learning tools and techniques to reduce the impact it has on daily living.

- Understanding chronic pain and its impact
- Managing stress
- Values and goals
- How to manage activities through pacing
- Strategies to help with difficult thoughts
- Helpful ways of communication
- Mindfulness and relaxation
Important information: This course will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and therefore you must have a working email address and access to an internet enabled device to attend. You must be booked onto a course to attend.
Please note: This course is live and interactive and will be facilitated by members of our team who will invite you to participate in discussion and exercises. It is important that you are aware that you are in control of how much you would like to participate in this.
Wiltshire IAPT Service psycho-educational courses are only available for people who are over the age of 16 and registered with a GP in Wiltshire (excluding Swindon area).
