Workshop: Wellbeing After Baby

This introductory session explores how we can manage our own emotional and mental wellbeing after the birth of a child. A range of topics are covered including stress management and an introduction to anxiety and low mood, as well as exploring effective communication styles and what further support is available from our service.
This course is suitable for:
- Anyone who has had a child in the last two years who is interested in learning tools and techniques to manage stress
- Introduction to CBT and the Wiltshire IAPT Service
- Normalising and exploring the challenges of motherhood
- Managing our expectations of ourselves and others
- How anxiety and low mood can impact us after having a baby
- Helpful ways to reduce stress
- Useful techniques for effective communication
This is a taught course designed to introduce practical strategies to manage your mood, run in a group format, so although there will be some group discussion about the techniques and examples it is up to you how much or how little you choose to take part. This course acts as a one off taster session.
Important information: This workshop will be delivered via Microsoft Teams and therefore you must have a working email address and access to an internet enabled device to attend. You must be booked onto a course to attend.
Please note: This workshop is live and interactive and will be facilitated by members of our team who will invite you to participate in discussion and exercises. It is important that you are aware that you are in control of how much you would like to participate in this.
Wiltshire IAPT Service psycho-educational courses are only available for people who are over the age of 16 and registered with a GP in Wiltshire (excluding Swindon area).
