We run a wide variety of free psycho-educational courses around a range of psychological and emotional difficulties. We aim to help people feel as comfortable and as welcome as possible, so no-one will be asked to do anything that they do not wish to. There are no “ice-breaker” exercises and no-one will be asked to speak individually. However, if you want to share a thought or experience, or ask a question, then you are more than welcome to do so. The courses are run by members of the psychology service.
We offer courses running in the day or evening in different venues around Wiltshire. The majority of courses run for four weekly sessions, each session lasting for two hours with a ten-minute break halfway through. We also run courses on a Saturday which are one session only for six hours, with regular breaks included throughout.
We provide refreshments free of charge, although we do appreciate voluntary donations as these are provided by the course facilitators themselves.
Each session begins with a brief recap of the previous session and we provide handouts summarising the material covered in each session.
